Lawnparties: THE WAR ON DRUGS + Physical Therapy

Welcome back (or to) school with some excellent Terrace music.

First up @1:30 PM is New Jersey’s own Physical Therapy. Described by Fader as a “master of dark, high-BPM dance music”, described by himself as “drum n’ space”. Also getting real, fast; recently released a quality EP (and had a track named as Best New Music by Pitchfork).

Recommended: the aforementioned “Drone On“, his Boiler Room mix, his fantastic remixes (like this one for Elite Gymnastics… seriously listen to that).

And headlining at 3:00 PM is The War on Drugs. Is it completely different? Yes. Is it awesome? Listen.

For those unwisely uninformed, TWOD makes stylistically-diverse (but uniformly legit) rock songs. That’s pretty much all there is to say; the AV Club and Pitchfork and all those other people have written enough. Just hear the music, and come to Terrace.
